Ocean Acidification

The other activity that i really liked was the one with Claudine. We experimented on stuff. The supplies the used were soda, lemon juice, baking soda, chalk, tap water, sea water, and 5 cups. Another thing we used was a weighing scale. Next was, we used petri dish.
We had to have partners. The partners that i had were clara, vlad, and i. We had to put the chalk in some of the cups and watch what happens.  I was the one who was writing what was happening. In the lemon juice was the most acidic because it was dissolving the chalk.  Which looked very gross after.
Next, i think the next one that was acidic was the soda, it kept breaking off little peices off the chalk. It was cool because it kept making some noises in some of them. It was cool to see what they looked like after the 10 minutes was up. It barely changed in the tap water and the something else. Im trying to remember about the baking soda and sea water.
Another thing she was talking about how our ocean cant be acid number 7. It like cant be that acidic in the ocean. Which makes me very curious on how our ocean is acidic. And how they can determine how it cant be 7. Maybe that our ocean is healthy or something?
She also said that we have to be more careful with factories, cars, anything thing that has carbon dioxide or monoxide in them. Or i mean something like that we have to prevent it alot of it polluting the air. Because i think thats why we have to be more careful because it can hurt the animals in the water maybe.
